Oh, Bioshock, is amazing! The story, setting, and characters are some of the best I've seen (if you don't know I won't spoil it, because it was a pretty damn awesome feeling seeing it completely unknowing for the first time), and I was pretty much completely consumed by it. I mean, I played through the first one, and then immediately begged my brother to lend me the second one. I think the sequel works really well, too, but it's pretty much a direct sequel, so I really recommend starting with the first game (or watch a Let's Play). The second game was also a bit harder, with stronger and more numerous enemies.

It's a first person shooter in a 3D environment, so the controls may feel a bit complicated at first, if you're not used to that sort of game (I wasn't, and it did take a while for me to familiarise myself with the controls). The game starts out with easy enemies and lots of explanations (you get a guide, of sorts, who is part of the story, and I just love how they managed to weave that in naturally), though, so just relax and try things out. And don't be afraid to die! You'll just have to start from a point slightly earlier.

I think it's categorised as horror, and yeah, it's pretty creepy and has truly horrifying elements and concepts, but it's also filled with action which makes it more of an adventure, to me. I mean, it's not like Silent Hill, which I can't actually play when I'm alone (because it scares me half to death).

I hope you have fun with it!
